South Africa is a golfer's dream. The Western Cape especially boasts a number of world-class, scenic golf courses. With year-round sunshine and very affordable visitor's fees, Cape Town is the ideal golfing destination. The Last Word staff will happily arrange an exhilarating day of golf for you, offering expert advice on their recommended courses.
From the Royal Cape Golf Club, established in 1885 and the oldest in the country, to the new designer courses such as Arabella Golf Club, Cape Town hosts a wide selection of excellent golf courses. Just some of the many championship golf courses in and around Cape Town include Erinvale, Clovelly, Steenberg, Pearl Valley, Atlantic Beach and Westlake.
Most Golf Estates hire out clubs, caddies and golf carts, and have a halfway house for that welcome refreshment break. Many do have rules and regulations to follow so be sure to enquire at the Clubhouse before teeing off.
