The New Menu At The Last Word Intimate Hotels
This season we’re launching a new menu at all three of our hotels!
Sue-Ann Allen became a household name in 2012 as the runner up in the first season of Masterchef South Africa. The menu she created, using smaller plates and seasonal ingredients, is a representation of a global food trend that perfectly suits the dining style of The Last Word Intimate Hotels. Sue-Ann’s priority when cooking is flavour, each bite should excite you and burst with flavour. For her, food isn’t meant to be complicated – just fresh ingredients that have been prepared with care, plated well and then thoroughly enjoyed!
Our new breakfast menu has been launched at The Last Word Franschhoek, The Last Word Constantia and The Last Word Long Beach. It consists of a variety of delicious freshly baked items including a freshly baked croissant with herby scrambled egg, field mushrooms, spinach and roasted vine tomatoes. If you’re after something on the sweeter side then the French Toast with crispy bacon, caramelized banana, seasonal berries, maple syrup and mascarpone is sure to entice your senses!
Lunch and Dinner
Our lunch and dinner menu is available on request at The Last Word Constantia and The Last Word Long Beach, and needs to be prearranged with a manager on arrival or once your booking has been confirmed. This bright and delectable menu features the likes of Salmon Teriyaki with grilled broccoli and sesame seeds, a Homemade Gnocchi with a creamy Gorgonzola sauce topped with biltong dust, dehydrated tomato and pea shoots, and an abundant Seafood Platter that boasts an array of locally sourced, SASSI approved seafood.
