Rates for The Last Word boutique hotels : 1 May 2010 - 30 April 2012

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Rates Include: Full gourmet breakfast made to your liking including fresh fruit, juices, home-spun specialities, all beverages including premium spirits and bespoke wines, in-room mini bar fridges, internet and email access, secretarial services, 24 hour security and personalized concierge services.

2. Rates Exclude: Lunch and dinner, laundry, in-house chauffeur transfers and tour services, telephones, special chef services and gratuities

3. Rates are quoted in South African Rands per room per night inclusive of 14% VAT and all bed levies

3. Rates are subject to change without notice

4. Bookings and reservations:

• All bookings are subject to availability on confirmation
• Provisional bookings will only be held for a maximum of 72 hours
• Full name of guests travelling will be required to convert status from provisional booking to confirmed
• Should confirmation not be received by the given date, the booking will automatically be released and can only be re-instated on the basis that the booking is confirmed/guaranteed
• Peak season rates and conditions are applicable

5. Payment Policy:

• A deposit of 50% within 2 weeks of making the booking will secure your reservation. Balance of accommodation will be due on arrival
• The Last Word reserves the right to release bookings should payment not be received by the requested date

6. Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellation within 15-30 days of arrival, 50% of full accommodation amount will be levied
• Cancellation less than 15 days prior to arrival, the full accommodation amount will be levied
• Cancellation for medical reasons will require proof in the form of a valid doctors certificate
• Cancellations will only be accepted in writing and they must be sent to info@thelastword.co.za or faxed to +27 21 794 2069. Please ensure that you get a response acknowledging your cancellation
• In the event of premature departure, the full extent of stay as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged
• Refunds of monies paid for bookings are at the discretion of Management and are dependent on ability to re-sell the rooms
• We recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances

7. Child Policy:

• Children of 8 years and older are accommodated at all The Last Word Boutique Hotels
• Should the entire boutique hotel be booked for a group then children of all ages are welcome
• Children from 12 years and older are considered adults and will have to take their own room at the applicable rates
• Children between 8 and 11 may share with their parents, limited to two children in a suite room category or higher at The Last Word Bishopscourt, The Last Word Constantia, The Last Word Long Beach and The Last Word Franschhoek. At The Last Word Sea Five children between 8 and 11 sharing with parents will be in a superior double room or the penthouse suite
• Children sharing with their parents will be charged R600 per child per night (net rate)

8. Third parties: No third persons/adults are allowed in the rooms

9. Guide Policy: Should guides be required to stay at the properties they will be required to pay the applicable room rate and this is subject to availability.

10. Arrivals/Departures:

• Check-in is after 14h00
• Check-out is by 11h00
• Late and early check-ins are to be notified on booking confirmation
• Late departures are to be discussed with Management
