First time travel to a place like Cape Town can be daunting, but that’s why we are here to help you every step of the way. Last Word Constantia is near to many world-famous sites and locations, but also to some amazing experiences only the locals know about. Managers Tess and Sam know all about these and are ready to assist you in getting to know the area. Our reservations manager Widad and our management team are waiting to help you plan every step of your journey.
Teeming with life, Last Word Constantia's magnificent gardens are home to birdlife, squirrels, butterflies and chameleons, just to name a few, but the plants themselves are the real story. From the beautiful but poisonous Brugmansia or Moonflower to the tall Marlothii or Aloe. From the Robinia with its striking yellow leaves to the endlessly colourful Bougainvillea, the gardens create a natural sanctuary for all its guests cocooned inside.
The Elegant Suites are the epitome of what the Last Word stands for, classic elegance and decadent comfort cocooned in the sanctuary of an inordinately large room. There are two, one upstairs and one on ground level, both around 95m² or 1000 square feet in size and both with a separate lounge area for that extra relaxation. Room 5 has its own private patio which accesses the pool area and garden while room 8 overlooks the famous Constantia garden. Extra beds can be added for kids at an extra cost in this room class.
The four Superior Rooms are all on the ground floor and each has access to its own private patio which then leads on to the swimming pool and gardens. The rooms are generous and average at 45m² or 484 square feet in size. Each with its own character and nuances, no two are the same, but all are luxurious, and the perfect base from which to explore Cape Town. Bathrooms are large and have both a bath and separate shower.
There are two Pool Suites at Last Word Constantia and each has its own semi-private dipping pool and patio area. Although not interleading, the Pools Suites do share a common entrance and therefore could be used for a travelling family if required. Each Pool Suite has a bedroom area and a separate lounge area, each one with its own TV. The Pool Suites are 75m² or 800 square feet and have more than enough space should you wish to have a private romantic dinner on the patio around your pool. Extra beds can be added for kids at an extra cost in this room class.
The Family Suite consists of two rooms alongside each other, a parents room and a kids room, each with its own en-suite bathroom with both bath and separate shower. Off the parents room is a family lounge with TV and Nintendo Wii for the kids. At more than 100m², the entire family can stay comfortably without being on top of each other and as the suite is charged at a normal suite rate, in essence, the kids stay for free.

Constantia driving instructions
Last Word Constantia is located right next door local landmark, Peddlars on the Bend restaurant, but should you need step-by-step directions from the airport, here they are.
Last Word Constantia is a sanctuary where we welcome our guests wholeheartedly and ensure their stay is the most memorable one.
Kindness, love, care, comfort and warmth is what we ensure our guests experience during their stay.
Let us take you by the hand,
Our mission simply: To make people happy. In lockdown we found a new purpose; To fill serene sanctuaries with kindness and lovely people. This is cosy living rather than hurried existence, a slowed down experience that emphasises personal happiness. And right in the middle of this purpose we forged our our singular core value - kindness – the very essence of heart candy and the seat of inner happiness. However, compassion is hard to come by in the real world. It’s often confined to close family or great friendship, rarely dished out in bucket loads by hotels. It is a rather elusive quality.
We realised that if we employed the right people (and we do), who showed amplified levels of kindness, with commensurate trust and confidence, the image of our brand would become hauntingly elusive.
We could become known as lovely people who look after lovely people and because lovely people attract one another this could form part of a self-sustaining alchemy, autocatalytic in that the combination of sanctuary, kindness and lovely people propels itself.
