Long Beach, Kommetjie is a surfer's paradise. Sunset, Long Beach, Washing Machine and Kranz, there's a break for everyone and for every level of surfer and these are just a few of them. Surfboards and wetsuits are available for rental nearby so come and enjoy some time in the water, even lessons are available if you need.

The two Elegant Suites at Last Word Long Beach are amongst the most sought-after rooms with a view in Cape Town. Both are upstairs and are 70m² or 750 square feet in size. They have completely private balconies offering the most romantic dinner setting, a perfect honeymoon opportunity. A separate lounge offers more space for relaxation as you soak in the soothing oceans sights and sounds. Extra beds can be added for kids at an extra cost in this room class.
All three Superior Rooms at Last Word Long Beach are on the ground level. The rooms face the sea and there is nothing more therapeutic than relaxing on your bed listening to the sounds of the ocean. The rooms average at 50m² or 540 square feet in size. Bathrooms have both a bath and separate shower. All Superior Rooms have their own semi-private patio and area for sunbathing.
There is only one Junior Suite at Last Word Long Beach and at 90m² or 970 square feet, it is the largest suite at the hotel. The room is on ground level and has direct access to the swimming pool. Should families wish to travel together, the Junior Suite is more than large enough to accommodate two extra beds for the kids. The room also faces the sea and the bathroom has a separate bath and shower. Extra beds can be added for kids at an extra cost in this room class.

Interact with African Penguins
The beautiful Boulders Beach is one of Cape Town’s most visited beaches and the only place in the world where you get close to African Penguins. In 1982 a couple of these little crowd-pleasers settled on the soft white sand between the large granite boulders that protect the beach from wind and large, stormy waves, and currently the population is estimated between 2,000 and 3,000 birds.
A world class winery by the sea
A unique farm in Noordhoek where vines are lazily nestled between mountains and ocean. Cool breezes from the sea make for a slow growing season, with a late harvest that results in a truly unique Sauvignon Blanc that is recognised across the globe for it’s rich minerality, structure and tone. Picnics on the lawn and evening wine tastings are both a great way to experience this stunning location.

Situated on the water’s edge in the picturesque harbour of Kalk Bay, this branch boasts exquisite views of the working harbour, False Bay and the Hottentots Mountain Range. One of only a few left
The winding road that slithers along the Atlantic coastline leading to Kommetjie has been described as a snake like drive. This curving coastal carriageway leads to Slangkop (Snake head) Lighthouse which has been burning brightly since 1914, becoming fully automated in 1979. The tower's light shimmers 33 nautical miles out to sea from its 33 M circular construction.

Our mission simply: To make people happy. In lockdown we found a new purpose; To fill serene sanctuaries with kindness and lovely people. This is cosy living rather than hurried existence, a slowed down experience that emphasises personal happiness. And right in the middle of this purpose we forged our our singular core value - kindness – the very essence of heart candy and the seat of inner happiness. However, compassion is hard to come by in the real world. It’s often confined to close family or great friendship, rarely dished out in bucket loads by hotels. It is a rather elusive quality.
We realised that if we employed the right people (and we do), who showed amplified levels of kindness, with commensurate trust and confidence, the image of our brand would become hauntingly elusive.
We could become known as lovely people who look after lovely people and because lovely people attract one another this could form part of a self-sustaining alchemy, autocatalytic in that the combination of sanctuary, kindness and lovely people propels itself.
