Dinner at The Last Word Long Beach

The Last Word Long Beach is an intimate hotel nestled in the heart of Kommetjie, a small fishing village in Cape Town’s remote southern suburbs, where a few quaint pubs and pizza huts offer simple food to its locals. Being the only 5-star hotel in Kommetjie, we endeavour to provide guests with luxurious three course, seafood dinners; every night of their intimate stay.

Our cosy hotel dining room is adjacent to the equally snug living room and by 19:00 pm the lights are dimmed, the candles lit and the cutlery perfectly polished. Dinner is an occasion at Long Beach and the glass front windows that face out onto the open sea provide a picturesque view of crashing waves and in winter, the exquisite Cape storms.

Dinner, typically detailed and reserved the morning before, consists of three traditional courses with a nautical twist.

POPPY SEED CRUSTED LINE FISH WITH GREEN ASPARAGUS AND POPPY SEED BUTTER

FILLET TOURNEDOS SERVED WITH FRENCH FRIES, ROASTED BELLA TOMATOES AND PERSILLADE CREAM

BELGIAN CHOCOLATE TORTE WITH ICE CREAM AND FRESH BERRIES

At just R500 per head, with a complimentary bottle of red or white wine and premium waters included, eating in has never been more intimate.

Added to this, The Last Word offers free WIFI, a luxury continental and buffet breakfast and all beverages, premium spirits and wines within the rate per night.
