Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens.

Cape Town's famous Kirstenbosch gardens is nestled below the mountain for easy access and supreme viewpoints. Book a guided tour through the garden or pop in for a picnic amongst some of South Africa's most beautiful botanicals. Be sure to include a walk through the canopy via their Boomslang Canopy Walkway!

Darling Wild Flower Show

The quaint town of Darling is home to an impressive 1200 species of flora, making it possibly the best place for flower frolicking. If that hasn't already convinced you to drive out to the Darling Wild Flower Show, this flower town is also home to eighty endemic species of flowers, which won't be found anywhere else on Earth.

West Coast National Park

The West Coast National Park is a blanket of blooms as far as the eye can see during the annual flower season. The official flower season runs from 1 August – 30 September in which the protected areas of the Park are then opened to the public. Enjoy a day out amongst one some of the most beautiful scenery in the Cape.

Hopefield Fynbos Show

Displaying over 500 species of fynbos this show should be at the top of your to-do-list. Hopefield Fynbos Show has a combination of fynbos and Spring daisies which makes for a truly spectacular event. There is also a family-friendly market with amazing food stalls and plenty of fun activities for kids.

Agulhas Nature Reserve

The Agulhas Plain is an immensely densely populated nature reserve. Host to over 2000 species of indigenous plants (100 of these are endemic to the area) it’s quickly become one of the most popular flower season destinations.
